Immigration Mental Health Evaluations

overview

I provide culturally competent psychological evaluations in English, Portuguese and Spanish. I assess patient/family social and emotional factors by conducting biopsychosocial assessments. In addition to the assessment, I impart crisis intervention and short-term counseling. With the information provided throughout the assessment, I develop a plan of care and make recommendations based on the patient/family needs. I have considerable clinical experience working with underserved and marginalized populations as well as culturally diverse children, adolescents, adults and families. I am well-aware of the impact of abuse and trauma, loss, separation, anxiety, stress and depression can affect one emotionally socially, relationally, academically, occupationally and developmentally.
